Ethan Vernon rounded out the podium at the one-day GP de Fourmies in France, sprinting to third place in a chaotic and crash-marred finale.
Having seen the finish line on the previous laps of the circuit, it was all about positioning in the technical finale and Vernon’s teammates nailed the job.
“I’m happy to start the final block of the season with a podium in a one-day race!,” says Vernon. “We’ve got a busy one-day program coming up over the next few weeks, so it was great to get off to a good start with the team today.
“It was a really technical, wet and slippery circuit, but the boys did a great job of keeping me safe and helping me avoid all the crashes. In the final kilometer, Jake and Tom set me up perfectly, giving me the chance to sprint for third place. A big thanks to the whole team for the work today!”
