Just over a week on from winning the New Zealand Road Nationals for the second time in his career, George Bennett will show off his new black fern jersey at the UAE Tour on Monday.
Bennett won solo after nearly a full day in the breakaway in last Saturday’s road race, adding the title to his previous victory in February 2001.
The Black Fern dominates the striking design, with logos – including that of Ekoï, who produced the jersey, in a matching black color – placed sympathetically around it.
“It’s a really big honor to win and wear the jersey in Europe, and I’m just super excited to have the opportunity again,” said Bennett after his win.
Subtle detail runs throughout the jersey, and there is also space for the New Zealand flag on the rear.
