NSN Cycling Team is pleased to announce the signing of Belgian rider Lennert Van Eetvelt on a three-year contract through to 2029.
Van Eetvelt joins the team with a strong record in stage racing, bringing climbing ability, an explosive finish, and an attacking approach to racing which has already seen the young Belgian make a name for himself since turning pro in 2023.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough 2024 season, winning the UAE Tour after taking victory on the final stage to Jebel Hafeet to secure the overall classification. Later that year, he added overall victory at the Tour of Guangxi, where he also won the decisive fifth stage.
In addition to Van Eetvelt’s General Classification palmarès, third place at the Clásica de San Sebastián and seventh at Il Lombardia in 2024 showed he is equally at home in one-day races.
That versatility is what caught NSN Cycling Team’s eye, explains General Manager Kjell Carlström.
“Lennert Van Eetvelt is a rider we have followed closely over the past years and we’re very pleased to welcome him to the team,” says Carlström. “Lennert has already demonstrated his ability to win at WorldTour level, particularly in demanding stage races, and we believe he can continue to develop over the coming seasons with us.
“What stands out is not only his climbing ability, but also the way he races. He is willing to take opportunities when they present themselves and has shown that he can finish off races against strong competition. Whether it’s targeting the GC in stage races, the Ardennes classics, or showing what he can do in the mountains in Grand Tours, we are excited to see what Lennert can do in NSN colors.”
For Van Eetvelt, the move to NSN Cycling Team signals the next chapter in his career.
“I was looking for an international and professional environment to take the next step in my career,” adds Van Eetvelt. “NSN felt like the perfect fit for that so I’m really looking forward to joining the team and seeing what we can do together over the next three years.”
While Van Eetvelt already boasts an impressive palmarès, especially for a rider of his age, he is determined to add to his victory tally across all races.
“I want to win more races no matter what they are,” he explains. “I know what my capabilities are, and I want to build the strongest palmarès I can from them so I hope to hit the ground running in 2027. I’m confident I have made the right choice and together, we will win races.”
