National Championships week across Europe is fast approaching – but NSN Development Team rider Miko Pirinen already has his hands on a brand new jersey.
Pirinen won the Finnish U23 Time Trial Championships on Saturday morning, showing promising signs of his form ahead of Sunday’s road race.
The 19-year-old, who joined the team for 2026, averaged 48.1kph for the 30-kilometer course. Pirinen beat his nearest rival by 41 seconds, and his time of 37:22 would have been good enough for third in the men’s elite race.
“It feels amazing to win,” he says. “My legs felt great and my pacing strategy worked well!”
