Finlay Tarling (2006–2026)

When I convinced Fin to join the team I couldn’t have been more excited about his potential. That potential was starting to be sprinkled around the peloton – he was showing why he was destined for the WorldTour.

We teach these guys how to race, but you have to have desire for the process. We teach these guys how to be humans with humility and good people in an often crazy arena, too, but we can only do so much. These things ultimately come from inside, and Fin was the best example of all.

I’ll miss him, we’ll all miss him, but Fin taught us how to cope, smile and get on with it, because that’s what he would do.
